Terms of Service (UK)

1. The TuumWorks Marketplace Model

TuumWorks UK Ltd ("TuumWorks") operates a technology platform facilitating connections between domestic/commercial clients ("Customers") seeking cleaning services and independent cleaning contractors or businesses ("Professionals").

Independent Contractor Status: Professionals registered on TuumWorks are independent third-party businesses or self-employed individuals. TuumWorks is not an employer, agency, or cleaning contractor. Any cleaning contract entered into is solely between the Customer and the Professional.

2. Terms for Customers

• Free Service: Customers may post cleaning requirements, view estimates, and receive quotes from up to 3 professionals free of charge. TuumWorks does not charge customers any fee or commission.
• Accurate Job Information: Customers agree to provide accurate details regarding property size, condition, and requirements (e.g. presence of pets, parking restrictions, specific stains).
• Direct Payment: Customers pay the hired professional directly in accordance with the professional's agreed terms (bank transfer, card, or cash).

3. Terms for Cleaning Professionals

• Pay-Per-Lead Credits: Professionals purchase credit packs in GBP (£) to unlock customer contact details. Unlocks are charged immediately upon opening the lead.
• Strict 3-Unlock Cap: Each lead is limited to a maximum of 3 unlocks across the entire platform. Once 3 professionals unlock a lead, it is marked as Sold Out.
• Insurance Requirement: All professionals must hold active Public Liability Insurance covering their scope of cleaning work before carrying out assignments.
• Refund Eligibility: If an unlocked customer number is disconnected, nonexistent, or a demonstrably fraudulent test submission, the professional is entitled to a credit refund under our Fair Competition Policy.

4. Direct Negotiation & Zero Intermediation

TuumWorks operates solely as an introductory technology platform and does not negotiate, supervise, manage, or guarantee any trade or cleaning service. The Customer and the Professional negotiate all job scopes, quotations, completion standards, and payment terms directly between themselves.

It is the Customer's sole responsibility to request and inspect all necessary credentials, trade body registrations (such as Gas Safe or NICEIC where applicable), identity documents, and proof of Public Liability Insurance directly from the chosen Professional prior to awarding work or granting property access.

5. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by UK law, TuumWorks is not liable for any acts, errors, omissions, or property damage caused by any professional or customer during or following the provision of services. Customers must verify the contractor's insurance certificate prior to commencement of work.

6. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms of Service are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction to resolve any dispute arising in connection with these terms.
